Hi! Welcome to the Fichter Family Homepage. This page is here for you to get to know us a little better. There are six of us altogether, not including the dogs: Ross & Carolyn, Bethany, Kirsten, Jessica, and baby Scott. The dogs are Oliver Twist and Charlie Brown. | ||||||||||||||||

We live in the village of Mears, Michigan on fourteen and a half acres. Our house was built of yellow brick in 1873--possibly one of the first houses in our village. It is named Deerpath because white-tailed deer follow the path across the hill in back of our house. From the top of the hill you can see the sun set over Lake Michigan--when it's not cloudy. You can also see the dunes at Silver Lake. It is a beautiful place to live. | Where in the World are We? | ||||||||||||||||

| What in the World do we Do? |
Ross was a special education teacher for seven years in South Carolina before we moved to Michigan. Now he is a freelance writer, writing children's literature, poetry, and is working on a novel. He is also a distributor for Nature's Sunshine Products and Melaleuca Products, and a consultant for National Direct Internet Yellow Pages. Carolyn is a full-time mommy who takes care of everyone in our house very well. She teaches the kids their school lessons at home, and she sings like an angel. ~Bethany is five years old and she is in kindergarten. She loves American Girl Dolls (she has Samantha and Biddy Baby), and she likes to pretend she is ice skating in the house. She would like to learn to ice skate for real sometime soon. She never sits still and is always running, jumping, or playing. Her favorite color is pink. Her favorite foods are cantelope and cupcakes with lots of frosting. ~Kirsten is four years old and she started kindergarten early so she could work with her sister. She loves her daddy and mommy very much. She likes to play with her Kirsten doll and her Biddy Baby, and especially her favorite little doll from Miss Ogule Her favorite Sunday School teacher in South Carolina). She also likes to read books and sing songs about God. Her favorite colors are red and green. Her favorite foods are strawberries and pickles. ~Jessica is almost three years old. She is not in school yet, but she loves to look at books and color. She also likes to sing no matter what else she is doing, especially when she goes to bed at night. She wants to get the Felicity doll when she gets to be a big girl, but for now she plays with her Biddy Baby doll. Her favorite color is peach, and her favorite foods are baked beans and broccoli. ~Scott is 5 months old. He likes to sleep and knock toys off his tray. He rolls over by himself and knows how to make a lot of noise. His favorite foods are bananas and pears (which he just started eating). Most of the time he is smiling and laughing. He wants to be older when he grows up. ~We all like to work in the garden, ride the tractor, and visit grandparents. | ||||||||||||||||
